An international access provider, with operations in UK, Ireland and UAE. Brogan Group is a leading access specialist offering clients the design, supply and erection of scaffolding, mast climbers and hoists on major construction sites.
Brogan Group are seeking a Design Engineer with AutoCad, Navisworks / Revit experience to join their Design Team at our Head Office in Welwyn Garden City
Key Responsibilities
- In this role, you'll create 3D models of scaffolding, mast climbing work platforms, common towers and hoists. From this model, you will create working drawings for the structure.
- These designs will also be used to help prepare cost estimates on projects, as well as showcasing to potential clients in order to further explain the design to the site team involved in the aim of securing the project.
- You may need to visit site for part of the design process on certain projects
Ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of BIM workflows such as Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD 3D, is essential as we are a primary user of Autodesk software.
- A minimum Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years in design of scaffolding including tube and fitting, system scaffolds, mast climbing work platforms, common towers and hoists
- Experience working with large scaffolding companies as a designer
- Hold a current UK driving licence
- Some experience in the Rail, Air or Industrial business would be an advantage
- Be capable of working in a demanding and busy environment to meet deadlines
- Be capable of single handedly producing all the design work, plus calculations for large projects from pre-tender stage to completion on site
- Be capable of handling a high workload
