100,000 square meters of new office space

Project comprised of a new mixed use building in Paddington, London which encompassed six architecturally diverse buildings set within a high quality public area with a major new canal-side square as its focal point. The scheme combines 559 new homes, shops, almost 100,000 square meters of new office space and substantial underground parking.

Main contractor Carillion called on Brogan Group to provide the overall access requirements encompassing scaffolding, hoists and mastclimbing work platforms for work on different parts of the project. Our one stop service offering plus past experience of working on city center sites was a decisive factor in Carillion selecting us for this complex project situated on a tight location in the center of London adjacent to busy public access.

Installation

Brogan Group supplied scaffolding to Building D which required initial access to all levels for the structural concrete frame works. The scaffold access was then adapted to facilitate the cladding elements required to the building including glazing and stone finish.
The courtyard area required a bespoke scaffold layout to suit the varying shape and levels of the facade balconies.

Works included the erection of independent scaffold to the reinforced concrete frame, as well as hand rails, floor slabs and voids.  A Goods/Passenger hoist was also erected to the canal elevation for the transportation of goods and personnel.

The access provision on this site has won Brogan several monthly health & safety awards from Carillion for maintaining a zero events record
