Overview

Boland’s Quay development, in the heart of Dublin’s thriving docklands, is a combination of new build and refurbished space, 3 new landmark towers (the tallest of which is 51m) comprising approximately 36,851mof office, residential, retail, and cultural space.

The history of the development dates to the 1830s and played a pivotal part in the fight for independence, as a stronghold for revolutionaries during the 1916 Rising.

The construction of all three towers involved over 25,000m3 of reinforced concrete, 1,800 tonnes of structural steel and over 8,000m2 of high-performance façade.

Installation

Brogan provided a number of hoists to aid the construction of all three towers of the development.

Initially, the hoists were used for the façade works of the building, before providing access for the fit-out and cladding elements of the project.

Hoists for both Tower 1 & 2 (Commercial buildings) serviced levels 12 and level 11 respectively, with the largest 51m tower (the residential building) utilising Brogan Hoists servicing up to level 14.
