Operations Director

The Company

An international access provider, with operations in Ireland, UK, UAE and Saudi Arabia. Brogan Group is a leading specialist offering clients the design, supply and erection of scaffolding, mast climbers, cradles and construction hoists.

The Role

We are looking for a qualified and competent Operations Director to take the business to the next level in its development. You will have strong leadership skills and the ability to lead, influence and communicate with others to deliver on an ambitious growth plan for the company.

We have a challenging and rewarding new opportunity for an Operations Director to join our team in Dublin. The focus of this role will be to facilitate controlled growth, service current and new clients, generate repeat business and build on our existing successful operation.

To be successful in the role you will have had significant previous experience in management, in particular managing complex high value contracts.

Key Accountabilities will also include:

  • Assist in procuring and securing contracts by maintaining and developing contacts in the Industry and in developing and delivering on the company’s expansion plans.
  • Develop and implement affective production/delivery management and build on pre-existing and new additions to the management and supervisory staff.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered to programme, whilst maintaining quality and efficiency
  • Ensure that all projects are procured and delivered safely and to Company Health and Safety Standards
  • Ensure that Client expectations are delivered and client relationships are fostered and built on.
  • Ensure compliance with all Company Standards and Procedures.
  • Build a strong and proud culture of performance and reward within the workforce.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience in a management position such as project manager/director or contracts manager/director with a proven track record and good references.
  • Exceptional, ambitious and forward looking individual.
  • Some experience of Project Management and management of senior management staff with ability to lead people at all levels and gain their respect through personal example and work ethic.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a passion for dealing with open-ended, even ambiguous challenges.
  • Excellent communication, people management & organisation skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to diagnose issues, drawing on personal professional experience and the strength within the other members of the management team and board of directors.
  • Proficient in IT systems including Microsoft office suite
  • Commercial awareness with strong negotiation skills.
  • Significant experience working in a fast-paced, agile and changing environment.
  • Experience in leading high-performance teams and driving innovative solutions.
  • Able to influence senior leaders, change thinking, gain acceptance and drive change.
  • The position will require degree level education preferably in a construction related specialism such as civil engineering or Quantity Surveying.
