195-foot vacant office, Residential building

The scaffolding and mastclimber scheme is built over Archway tube station. The design consists of converting Archway Tower from a 195-foot vacant office to a residential building providing privately rented accommodation for people who want to live and work in Archway.

Installation

Full height perimeter access in the form of scaffolding and mastclimbers for the Archway Tower refurbishment project.

Our works include installing double stacked platforms on both twin and single masts. Having two platforms allows for the façade work to be completed efficiently, safely and enables two crews to work simultaneously on the same elevation.

The mastclimbers over the station area are supported off gallows brackets fixed to the structure (max load 9 tonnes)

Warren Breen - Site Manager, Prime Construction

From our early meetings with Brogan Group, they were able to meet our design requirements with the construction of a twin mast, twin platform, mast climber to work in conjunction with a 60 metre high scaffold for the external cladding removal. Led by an extremely efficient site management team in Ady Payne and Nevill Guest, they produced excellent productivity in the installation. Their attention to health and safety and dedication to its promotion was singly the best I have seen from a contractor and I have actively canvassed for them to be on all my future projects.
