1.25 acres of landscaped urban realm
Brogan Group are providing scaffolding access for the Dublin Airport Central (DAC) development.
Amongst the offices, a space described as ‘1.25 acres of landscaped urban realm’ will provide natural social space for occupants. DAC’s plan will produce just under half a million square feet of office space to create this strategically positioned hub beside the airport, which will also include a restaurant and café at the ground floor of building a6.
DAC is investing in the success of a growing concept called the ‘Airport City’ model. This aims to give convenient and fast access to global locations for multinational Irish businesses as well as International corporations looking for a hub with fast access to numerous European countries. The execution of this vision has resulted in Dublin Airport being named Europe’s fastest growing airport.
Installation
We are providing full height scaffold access to two elevations on each of the two buildings. We are also providing a number of retractable crane decks to load the higher levels that are inaccessible by the telehandler.
DAC required a larger than usual loading bay at 8m x 6m in order to have the ability to wheel out shuttering tables onto the loading bay and crane them onto the next floor. Standard Cuplok loading bays would measure 2.5m x 2.5m or up to 5m x 2.5m. This was implemented progressively on a floor by floor basis with the shuttering.
Our design engineers orchestrated a loading bay that fit perfectly to the dimension and load needs of the client. It was designed and erected in a progressive sequence that involves the platforms alignment at slab level.
Health and Safety was at the forefront of all designs and is also at the forefront of all installation works.
