Our SHEQ team of 10 persons are knowledgeable, experience and qualified with a practical pro-active approach to delivering on those standards on site every day. We have been accredited to ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and PAS 99. We are also members of NASC, IPAF, BuildingConfidence, Constructionline, Considerate Constructors Scheme, Construction Industry Federation, FORS and CLOCS to name a few.

Man-hours accident free

We have achieved 2 million hours without a reportable incident and have frequently exceeded 1 million hours. All incidents are reported and near misses are investigated with the same scrutiny as actual injury incidents with corrective actions implemented as appropriate.

Our SHEQ team provides advice, guidance and monitoring throughout the organisation and undertake strategic risk reviews with our management and clients to ensure the reduction of risk remains at the core of our works.

Collaboration

As sitting members of various industry groups, including ASITO, CHIG, CPA and IPAF, we have a keen interest in continually improving industry standards and work in close collaboration with other contractors, training providers and industry bodies to develop and implement improvements and awareness.

This approach extends to our clients and we have received awards that recognise our participation.

Occupational Health

We offer a broad range of occupational health assessments, through our external occupational health organisation, to ensure our workforce is physically and mentally suitable for their roles, commencing with pre-employment assessments.

We operate a substance misuse policy that has been in place for over ten years to ensure that our employees do no put themselves, or others at risk by their actions.

Mandatory safety critical medical screening is carried out continuously for all of our employees who work at height, operate plant or drive on our behalf.

Mental Health

Our qualified Mental Health First Aiders provide advice, support and confidential counselling services for support with lifestyle or personal issues such as stress, bereavement or other mental health issues.

The Lighthouse Club provide financial and emotional support to the construction community and their families and have been making huge strides in preventing suicides within the construction industry.

As a company support of the charity, we are advocates of all the work that they do and ensure that all employees are aware of the help they can receive if they need it. We implement their messaging and details via the use of staff newsletters, posters and we are training mental health first aiders.

Innovation in Safety

We are always looking for ways to enhance, improve and innovate our safety standards and operational processes.

Innovation is key to ensuring that we use the most suitable, efficient and effective processes and tools available to deliver our services whilst working at height or with plant.

Our mandatory tool tethering policy for all work at height has been in place for over ten years and we continuously research new methods that can help to reduce the quantity of individual components installed at height across all our service disciplines.
