Great West Quarter

Brogan Group are currently working on the access and scaffolding package for Barratt's Great West Quarter site. This project, part of the urban regeneration of the Great West Road Corridor,  incorporates the restoration of the art deco icon, Wallis House and the surrounding site; and the new build of 'The Skylon' a 32 storey glass tower hotel, with a public observation deck at the top.

In addition, the redevelopment will provide 1,000 residential units, office and commercial space, retail facilities, a primary care trust, education and community facilities, as well as an 8-acre underground car park and public open space.

Brogan Group provided access throughout the site with full height independent scaffold, a temporary roof and a hoist to Wallis House, which is also a listed building built in 1939.

Work also included erecting scaffolding to the north elevation, which was founded from large RSJ steels facing the main road.  Back propping scaffold was also erected internally from floor to ceiling to support the lower floors; where independent scaffold alongside lifting rails were installed for stone work. In addition to the scaffolding, Brogan Group also supplied passenger hoists to this development.
