The Dubai 'Waste to Energy' Plant comes to life

The Waste-to-Energy project in Dubai is going strong.

As the teams are close to completing the main concrete superstructure works, they are moving their focus towards the steel structure, façade and MEP works in the next coming months.

In total, the plant will include:

90,000 m³ of concrete,

44,000 m² of waterproofing,

6,400 tonnes of steel structure,

104,000 m² of external cladding.

When finished, the plant, one of the world's largest, will process 1.9 million tonnes of municipal waste per year and produce approximately 200 MW of renewable electricity.

Brogan Group is involved in the design, supply and installation of the access scaffolding works.
