We are providing a hoist package to a new mixed-use development in Whitechapel, London. The package will include a number of goods/passenger hoists, all of which are large 27/38 machines.
Some of our landing gates will be specially fabricated due to the limited floor to floor heights as we will be fitting 2.4m high gates between floor slabs.
The development is named Silk District, taking its name from the silk-weaving Huguenots who settled in this area within the 17th century, thereby enabling the purchase of silk in England for the first time.
The site of the development, formerly a Safestore facility, will be transformed into a new urban quarter. The development will comprise 620 new homes and 3,500sqm of commercial space including flexible office space for SMEs, shops, a gym and a café.
Our fluid estimation and design process were implicitly beneficial to winning this package. In addition, what was particularly useful to the client was our wide range of hoists and ability to offer engineered, bespoke solutions to overcome specific project challenges.
