New Shot Blasting Machine for Middle East Division

Standing at approx. 6m tall and rocking the Brogan red, our UAE division has recently taken delivery of a new OMSG ‘Shot Blasting’ machine at our Dubai depot.

 This machine is part of the ongoing development works at the Brogan depot in response to the growing market demands for our Access Works across the UAE and KSA.

 The model is Lauco 250 NS8 NB and the machine is designed for shot blasting of plates and steel profiles such as scaffold material. Scaffolding components are loaded onto a roller conveyor and 3 types of steel shots are projected at high velocity onto the material's surface removing debris.

 Due to the harsh working conditions on building sites and the Middle East heat, scaffolding collects rust, paint and cement making inspections more difficult. By carrying out the ‘blast’ process regularly, materials work-life is extended, joining becomes easier, and health and safety standards are maintained. We estimate that up to 3000 pieces of scaffolding material will be put through our shot blasting process every day.
