On November 10th, 29 Brogan staff successfully completed Rescue from Height training using the Gotcha and Delta Plus rescue kits at our Jebel Ali depot, Dubai.

This included theoretical and practical training to ensure that our team are competent should one of our team become suspended in their harness following a fall from height and requiring rescue.

Operatives working at height may need to be rescued from height for several reasons, for example, those who have suffered a heart attack, or significantly injured on a working platform, or even falling from height that has left them suspended in their harness.

Those left suspended motionless in a harness could soon start to suffer from physiological problems due to restricted blood circulation in their legs. This can lead to symptoms such as faintness, breathlessness, sweating, nausea, unusually low heart rate and ultimately unconsciousness.

All work at height needs planning in advance to ensure that their works are carried out safely and must include emergency response and rescue from height planning, so that no one will be in a position where they could be put at risk of developing this condition.
