This week marks International Men’s Health Week (15th – 21st June 2026), a campaign dedicated to encouraging men to take positive steps towards improving their physical and mental wellbeing.

Across Brogan Group sites in the UK and Ireland, toolbox talks have been distributed raising awareness of key men’s health issues and highlight the support available.

Research shows that men are often less likely to seek support for their health. 40% of men have never spoken to anyone about their mental health, only 37% of full-time working men had visited their GP in the previous three months compared with 53% of women, and men are 67% more likely to die from cancers that affect both men and women.

Simple lifestyle changes such as regular exercise, healthy eating, getting 7–9 hours of sleep and limiting alcohol consumption can have a significant impact on overall health and wellbeing.

At Brogan Group, trained Mental Health First Aiders are available to support employees across our offices and sites. We also work closely with the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, which provides free, confidential support to construction workers and their families 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
