Brogan Group has acquired Sunbelt Rentals’ UK Hoist Division, expanding its hoist and access operations nationwide, and formed a trading partnership with Sunbelt’s wider hire network to serve a broader customer base.
We’ve completed the acquisition of Sunbelt Rentals’ UK Hoist Division — an important step in strengthening our position as one of the UK’s leading hoist and access specialists.
The deal includes Sunbelt’s construction hoist fleet, associated equipment and operations across the UK. We’re also delighted to welcome the experienced Sunbelt technicians, engineers and operational staff joining Brogan Group. Their expertise and regional knowledge will play a key role in supporting our continued growth and enhancing the service we deliver nationwide.
The acquisition boosts our international workforce to over 1,000 people, expands our total hoist fleet to more than 900 machines, and adds three new depots in the Midlands and North of England — enabling us to serve projects in cities such as Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield and Newcastle, as well as across Scotland.
Alongside the acquisition, we’ve entered a trading partnership with Sunbelt Rentals’ wider UK hire network — under which Brogan is the exclusive provider of hoists for Sunbelt customers, while also offering our own clients access to Sunbelt’s broader range of specialist rental services beyond access.
This partnership strengthens service capability on both sides and supports our shared commitment to delivering safe, reliable and premium access solutions across the UK and Ireland.
It also reinforces Brogan Group’s ongoing international growth, expanding our skills base, workforce and hoist assets to support projects across mainland Europe, the Middle East and North America.
