Project Fitzwilliam, ESB HQ

The Electricity Supply Board (ESB) are redeveloping their Fitzwilliam Street site in Dublin. Project Fitzwilliam will be a new 45,000sqm development that will deliver a near zero energy building, one of the most efficient and sustainable commercial office developments in Dublin city while also sticking to the Georgian landscape.

Upon demolishment of the existing buildings, the construction of a seven-storey office block will begin while a number of protected Georgian structures will also be refurbished. The development will feature a number of innovative, sustainable technologies that will reduce carbon emissions and running costs – one example of this is the recycling of rain water that will see a 70% reduction in water consumption.

Throughout the three-year construction period, almost 500 jobs will be created, and the existing capacity will double with the new building accommodating an additional 1,400 workspaces.

Our scope of work includes a comprehensive access package of scaffold, mast climbers and hoists. At peak, there will be in excess of 20 mast climber drive units around the building that will be moved to suit as the build progresses, combined with the perimeter scaffold access. We will also be providing a number of goods only hoists.
