We are providing mast climbers to the Oaklands redevelopment at Old Oak Common as part of the initial stages of the wider transformation of the land south of the Grand Union Canal in North Acton. Old Oak is identified by the Mayor of London as a major regeneration opportunity that could create 25,500 new homes and 65,000 new jobs over the next 30 to 40 years. It is the largest regeneration project since the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The current scheme works, for which we are providing access include demolition of structures and redevelopment of the Oaklands House site to include three mixed use blocks, ranging in height from 6-26 storeys.

We are supplying a fleet of light duty mast climbers that will all be erected, relocated and struck manually/via our HIAB around the site as works progress.

The current £175 million mixed-use development will provide over 600 new homes, 40% of which will be affordable - a combination of social housing, rent below market value and shared ownership. It has been designed to achieve BREEAM Very Good sustainability rating and to meet with level 4 of the code for sustainable homes.

This first phase of the redevelopment will provide 605 new homes, 40% of which will be affordable. This will be a combination of social and affordable rent and shared ownership. It will also provide office and commercial space to accommodate small and local businesses as well as communal space with extensively landscaped public areas to provide an attractive environment and setting for the development.

The beginning of a new link road will be built to connect Old Oak Common Lane and the surrounding community into the site. This link road will provide access to future sites as more of the area’s regeneration projects are established.
