Brogan Group foreman, Stephen Herbert has been nominated by the Project Manager at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth for a national Carillion Values Award for his contribution at this site.

Everyone at Brogan Group is very happy and proud that Steve has been nominated and we would like to congratulate him on this achievement. Steve will now move forward to the national award selection.

Main contractor Carillion was also awarded for their work at Queen Alexandra Hospital (QAH), Portsmouth, receiving the Gold Award for Considerate Constructors in 2007. This project, a major redevelopment of QAH, Cosham, Portsmouth, is still ongoing and involves the construction of new facilities to focus acute hospital services on one site.

The Values Awards were introduced in 2002 and hundreds of Carillion workers have now received recognition through them. Awards are also given to sub-contract personnel working at Carillion sites.

The 2007 Annual Values Awards winners were each presented with their awards at the 2007 senior manager's conference where CEO John McDonough praised their commitment to work and Carillion's success. These awards aim to identify from all the award winners in that year those people who really stand out as having lived the values and gone well beyond the day job. Winners of the award are those who go beyond what might normally be expected of employees who are simply doing their job well.
