Brogan Group win a Wates London Construction Supply Chain Award

We are delighted to have won a “Wates London Construction Supply Chain Award” for a second year in a row. At the start of 2018, we worked closely with Wates and other contractors in their supply chain to review and further improve the format of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS). Our input and efforts in this workshop and implementation throughout the year has culminated nicely in receiving this award at the end of the year.

During the workshop with Wates and other contractors, we took inspiration from our existing high-safety standards and spent the day discussing and compiling a new format for RAMS which would be more straight forward for operatives to understand and enable smoother implementation. Alongside Wates’ Supply Chain Manager for Scaffolding Suppliers, Neil Lock, we created a document that is more image focussed as opposed to pages of text that can be harder to access.

We are delighted that our continued efforts to maintain our stringent safety standards were recognised with this award.

Neil Lock said of the award: “The key members of our scaffolding supply chain, of which Brogan Group are a strategic member have worked together in a collaborative manner on a safety critical package to ensure that packages are procured efficiently whilst maintaining our high standards. One of the major achievements is that the supply chain and Wates now have a unified set of RAMS for use on our projects and a common way of working that meets all of our standards. Working with their competitors has not stopped any of these companies coming to the table with innovation and suggestions, a perfect example of true collaborative partnering.”
