Due to Covid-19, a lot of charity events and fundraising have unfortunately had to stop. However, three very determined ladies from Gamlingay decided they had to do something to help raise money for their local Hospice, St Johns Hospice at Moggerhanger in Bedfordshire. The Hospice have continued to support families throughout lock down however they rely on fund raising to enable them to operate.

Christina Boxall and her team of ladies, Judi Hobbs and Geraldine Clarke have been selling raffle tickets every Saturday at Potton Market Square to raise money for the hospice, they also sell books and have created a JustGiving page. Hearing of their efforts to raise money, Brogan Group contributed to the worthy cause by way of gifting the first prize.

Christina commented ‘Thanks to the Brogan Group, we are able to have a Great main Prize! Its attracting people to buy Tickets, we are so grateful. St. John’s were such a lifeline to us. My darling Tony was very ill with a rare neurological disease, a bit like motor Neurone. We both wanted him at home, and without their Palliative Care Team, that would have been impossible. They are amazing, compassionate people’.

Our Yard Manager John D’Arcy presented the cheque for the raffle prize.
