Brogan Group have marked the start of 2026 by reaching the halfway point on Jeddah Tower, the world’s tallest building on completion. The milestone has been achieved using a specialist access solution fully designed, supplied, and erected by Brogan, incorporating the highest-ever CAS common tower working in tandem with Alimak hoists. At the start of the new year, the common tower has now progressed to 250 m in height. The tower, together with six external Alimak 3-tonne hoists supplied and erected by Brogan Group, will ultimately reach a height of 500 m, making it the highest common-tower and hoist installation ever achieved.

Brogan’s remit also includes three high-speed 3-tonne Alimak hoists to be installed internally, one of which will eventually reach a height of 700 m.

The uniquely designed 1,000 m tower features a distinctive three-petal design and a narrowing profile, specifically engineered to combat wind resistance and reduce structural loads. The structure will incorporate more than 80,000 tonnes of steel, with sections of the reinforced-concrete core measuring several metres in thickness to ensure strength and stability at extreme heights.

Upon completion, Jeddah Tower will stand at 1,002 m (3,308 ft), surpassing the Burj Khalifa in Dubai by 174 m (570 ft) and establishing it as the tallest structure ever built.
