The 150M scheme comprises redevelopment of the Main Olympic Stadium after the London 2012 Games into a multi-use venue. The stadium will be fully compliant with FIFA and IAAF standards. Works to include the extension/replacement of the existing stadium roof to cover the majority of seating, the installation of general spectator and additional hospitality facilities, along with office/retail accommodation and the provision of a warm-up community track and field facility to be located adjacent to the stadium. The planning application is for a part full and part outline planning application for the transformation of the 2012 Olympic stadium to provide a 60,000 seat multi-purpose venue with athletics provision and other facilities capable of being used to host a wide range of sporting, cultural and community events with a maximum capacity for concert events of 80,000 people.
We look forward to starting on site with completion in April 2016.
