Works Begin at Alberta House

Works have begun for main contractor Higgins Construction at the £23.5m residential development project in Blackwall.

Initial work includes the installation of a twin passenger and goods hoist to Alberta House which is 25 storeys. Currently the hoist is up to the 7th floor and will eventually reach the 25th floor with a mast height of 80m. 

Following this, other works will include:

• Six mastclimbers to block C with masts up to 26m high
• Ten mastclimbers plus a twin hoist (up to 26m high) will be supplied to Block B
• Six mastclimbers and a hoist will also be supplied to Block A, with masts up to 80m high at later stages in the project.
