One of our site operatives previously based on the Kings Cross Eastern Goods Yard redevelopment has been nominated by the main contractor, UK construction company BAM, to receive its prestigious BuShelt Award.

The Award was established in 2010 to recognise those in the supply chain that have made a significant contribution to achieving an ‘Interdependent Culture’ on BAM’s projects and, or to, their business.

In the past, recipients have been presented with the award for demonstrating an exemplary commitment to a healthier and safer workplace; contributing towards the sustainability of construction activities; and for performance at project or business level.

Now in the latter stages of its £170 million redevelopment, Kings Cross Eastern Goods Yard has been transformed into a new campus for Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.

We congratulate our operative on his notable efforts and for being included in the shortlist for BAM’s BuShelt Award, and we eagerly await the result of the winner- set to be announced imminently.
