Queen’s Jubilee Community Celebrations with Brogan Group

The Platinum Jubilee will see a wave of celebration across the UK in each community, including where Brogan Group work and our employees live.

The extended four-day UK bank holiday weekend commemorates 70 years of service of the Queen to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms, and the Commonwealth. It is also a chance for people to get together and celebrate life and their local community.

Brogan Group are very much a part of the community of Gamlingay, a village in Cambridgeshire that is home to our main depot, and which employs a number of locals. We are involved with many regular yearly events here, plus the special Platinum Jubilee celebrations being arranged for this June.

On Saturday 4th June a free to all evening event is being put on at the Gamlingay Eco Hub which will include bars, a VIP marquee enjoying a Commonwealth themed taster menu, and a local live music stage sponsored by Brogan Group. The evening will culminate with the live screening of the televised “Platinum Party at the Palace” concert.

Brogan Group is also an International Organisation, and our royal connection goes back a couple of years when we were proudly recognised by the most prestigious royal business prize, the Queen’s Award, for our significant growth in international trade.

Our international headquarters is in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire but we also support local organisations around the head office, including at the aptly named Jubilee House, which provides tailored support for people with learning disabilities, and who are putting on Pop-up Picnics at all its service areas on the 1st June.

The nearby village of Waresley will also see the Brogan Sponsored Cricket Club host a round-robin tournament to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee between Waresley, Little and Great Gransden and Abbotsley on Friday, June 3rd.
