Steve O’Dell has recently been appointed Operations Director of Brogan Powered Access. Steve succeeds Jim Casey in this role and is a well known and respected leader in the powered access business. His appointment marks a new era in the development of the Group as world leaders particularly in Construction Hoists and Common Towers.
Jim Casey now promoted to Group Operations Director has overall operational responsibility for the entire business in all countries.
Jim commented: “We searched long and hard to find someone to undertake my former role as Operations Director of Powered Access. Steve emerged head and shoulders above the applicants after a 3 year search.
He and I have an excellent relationship with mutual respect based on a desire to bring out the best in our employees and to be leaders in our field for innovation and technical competence. We “take the call”.
Steve is a qualified Electrical/Mechanical engineer who has a long history in the hoist business having previously worked as Fabrication/ Installation Engineer, Electrician, Lead Supervisor and Contracts manager in Hewden Plant and HTC and most recently with Reco as Head of External Operations.
Steve commented: “Starting out as an electrician and yard fitter preparing/installing hoist's and working my way up through the ranks to supervisor and operations Manager, it came time for me to progress my career and moving over to Brogan Group one of the biggest established construction hoist companies in the industry was a no brainer. I look forward to overcoming the challenges ahead and working with a great team who have all welcomed me onboard”.
