We are currently on site with Sisk at 'Vantage' in Central Park, Leopardstown providing mastclimbing and hoist access for the construction of 461 apartments over double and triple basement.

We currently have on site 2 mastclimbers (max. capacity 2.7 tonnes), 15 mastclimbers (1-1.5 tonne capacity), 1 twin mastclimber (3 tonne twin load, wider work span) and 2 Hoists (1-1.5 tonne capacity). The twin mastclimber machine was erected this week, again using only 3 personnel. It took approximately 3 days only for the twin machine to be erected by hand and the client has been very happy with our fast order-to-construction-to-handover turnaround time, using the minimum amount of resources necessary.

Our machines provide access for personnel and materials to install window units and stone-faced cladding to the envelope of the building. As our access to the tower crane was limited to night-time, machines were landed to the higher level courtyard area of the building at night and positioned in place by hand (2 personnel). The machines were then erected section by section,(by hand) with each section of the mast measuring about 1.5m in height.

The convenience of the piece-by-piece construction of the hoists and mastclimbers means that a number of machines were able to be erected and provide access to heights of up to 50m using only 2-3 personnel and without the use of the tower crane. The number of machines Brogan Group have and maintain at Leopardstown enables simultaneous finishing work to be carried out faster and for work levels to be adjusted by our on-site personnel whenever required.

Vantage is the residential zone of Central Park, which is already home to many offices, most notably Vodafone, First Active and Merrill Lynch. The ground floor of the Vantage apartment blocks will include shops, cafes, a bar and restaurants. A Luas line is also being constructed at ground level to service the building and surrounding area. We began work at Vantage in November 2007 and completion is due for the end of 2008.
