Brogan Group recently celebrated International Women’s Day, recognising the integral part women play in the success of our company across the UK, Ireland, and Middle East groups.

This year’s theme is inspiring inclusion and we looked at the concrete efforts we have made to increase participation within our part of the construction industry.

On ‘the tools’ there is still largely male-dominated involvement across the construction industry, but women now make up 50% of the support staff across Brogan Group, including a large percentage in managerial as well as director roles. This compares with the 15.3% and 8% of women in construction in the UK and Ireland respectively, according to ONS and CSO surveys in 2023.

To continue striving for equality and inclusion, Brogan Group are making donations to a number of Women’s charities that support women across the regions we operate:

https://www.catalyst.org/  Global nonprofit working with companies around the world to build workplaces that work for women.

Women’s Aid – Currently the leading organisation in Ireland working and providing support to stop domestic violence against women and children.

The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC)  - Provides immediate protection and support for women and children in the UAE against domestic violence.
