It is no secret that we take great pride in our fleet, in fact, very few machines are over the 5-year age profile.

We will be providing our second largest hoist to our newest contract in Southampton. The hoist itself is of twin configuration, has a loading capacity of 2.4 tonnes and is able to travel up to 70m per minute. The model fondly referred to as Colossus’ little brother has a cage size of 5m x 2m and will travel up to 83m/ 27 storeys of the tower transporting both goods & personnel.

Formerly the site where Vosper Thornycroft once traded up until 2003, it will have an incredibly different use to what it once did, being regenerated to support a vibrant, mixed-use building rather than the construction of war ships for the Royal Navy. Upon completion, it will comprise a mixture of 1 & 2 bedroom apartments and will form a vital part of the riverside’s rejuvenation scheme.

Stephen Kinsella, executive director for land at Homes England, said: “This new phase of development will create one of the tallest residential buildings in the city and really makes the most of the waterfront presence of Centenary Quay”.
