We have been awarded the contract to provide hoist access to the £95 million Park East redevelopment in Erith, south-east London.
The project involves the construction of 320 new homes, of which 80 per cent will be for affordable rent and shared ownership, which, as described by the developing partnership, “will ensure a mixed, aspirational and sustainable community for local residents”. The new complex will include one- and two-bedroom apartments available for sale and shared ownership, and one, two- and three-bedroom duplexes available for affordable rent.
The regeneration project to provide quality new homes required the demolition of a substantial area, part of which was known as Arthur Street, and the re-housing nearby of approximately 250 former residents of the estate.
Our remit is to design and supply the hoist access requirements for the substantial project, which includes 10 single 20/32 hoists on blocks ranging from 26 – 40m in height.
Work is expected to be completed by 2023.
