It has been a tough period for running community events but 2021 sees a brighter outlook with the return of the Gamlingay village show, cancelled last year due to Covid-19.  Brogan Group are sponsoring the event, which will take place on September 18th, continuing their efforts to bolster the community around which their main depot sits.

Brogan are also sponsoring the annual Scarecrow competition for the second year in a row and which will see Scarecrows pop up around the Cambridgeshire village in the next few weeks. This will culminate in a judging weekend on the 17th and 18th of July.

Jolin D’arcy, the Gamlingay Yard Manager recently handed over a cheque to Ginny Jones, one of the organisers of the events who commented:

“We will be publishing routes to encourage even more people to come and view the scarecrows as last year they were amazing. Thank you Jolin and Brogan for sponsoring us once again.”

The village show later in the year is currently in the planning stages but will look to contain many of the elements that made it so successful in the past such as a food and drink area, children’s games, a classic car show and a dog show.
