We have recently won a contract to provide access to the Long Room Hub Development at Trinity College, Dublin.
‘The Hub’ at Trinity College is due to be extended and will on its completion act as an effective “Book end” to the Edmund Burke section of the existing Arts Building.
The building has been designed to accommodate a team working on the digitisation of the treasures of Trinity’s great library: a vital component of the plan to unlock the treasures of the Library and display them to the world.
Once complete, the Hub will provide 1st research facilities for Post-Doctoral students, as well as offices for international visiting research fellows. The 1st floor will accommodate a seminar room with state-of-the-art video-conferencing facilities, which will be used for academic and managerial meetings within the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, and across the wider College community. The 70-seat lecture theatre will be used for lectures, conferences, symposia and colloquia.
Our current works on the project include the erection of all independent perimeter scaffold. In accordance with the project requirements, our works have been planned to minimise disruption to college activities and is due for completion in March 2010.
