Nearly 500 fatal and serious injury collisions involving HGVs occur across the UK every year in our cities, towns and countryside, with 121 of those people dying in 2016 within 30 days of the collision.

As a Construction Logistics and Community Safety (CLOCS) Champion since 2015, we pledged to increase awareness of the risks to vulnerable road users around construction logistics vehicles and to help reduce the number of incidents and significant injuries to all road users. Our aim is to continually improve our performance through our management systems, ongoing training and development of our drivers and logistics staff through classroom and eLearning training, monitoring and analysing driver performance and ensuring that all vehicles are fitted with the mandatory safety equipment required for compliance with FORS Silver requirements.

We are a vehicle fleet operator responsible for our vehicles that deliver to and from construction sites and developments. As part of being a CLOCS Champion we continually communicate with our clients, suppliers and neighbours to encourage others to also become CLOCS Champions and spread the message as much as possible throughout the UK.

We promote and encourage our suppliers, sub-contractors and peers to adopt the CLOCS standard within their company. If you would like to read more about how you can become a CLOCS Champion and join the fight in keeping the roads a safer place to be then you can go to their website here: https://www.clocs.org.uk/
