A multi-user access scaffold designed by Brogan Group's chief designer for The Angel Site, Islington serving all levels to the atrium was completed recently and handed over to the client, BAM.
A 25m high birdcage scaffold was designed to incorporate multi level, multi trade access and included Niko lifting rails to enable the installation of cladding into position. The top level provides access to the atrium roof.
Cantilevered access platforms have also been erected at full height to each of the existing building stair cores for M&E works. A Heavy duty lifting frame has been erected to ground floor to enable the lifting of 3.0 tonnes of new plant onto the ground floor slab and move it into position.
In addition, bridged hoist run-off towers have been provided to South and West elevations at every floor level for 2.0 tonnes capacity passenger/goods hoists with ramped access onto floor slabs. Heavy duty ramps at ground level enable the transport of up to 4.0 tonnes of plant between slab levels.
