Brogan Group has been awarded a combined access package for a student accommodation development in Southall, London.
The project will see the installation of numerous Brogan double stacked mast climbers reaching 73m high, supported by scaffold gantries. Additionally, independent scaffolding for low-level access and internal hoists will be installed within the building's lift shafts.
The scheme is the first volumetric development in the UK to receive Gateway 2 building safety approval under the Building Safety Act and will utilise modular construction reducing build time by up to 50%.
Upon completion, the 23-storey development will provide 424 purpose-built student bedrooms, significantly contributing to the area’s housing requirements, with completion scheduled for the start of the 2026 academic year.
