We have recently made a charity donation towards the Olympic 10 sport and 2012km Gold Challenge which is being undertaken by Danielle Watson of Carillion and her 10 Kickboxing colleagues in order to raise vital funds for the ACLT (African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust).
The ACLT works to increase the number of bone marrow, blood and organ donors, specifically from Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) groups as these groups are in urgent need of donors e.g. less than 3% of potential donors on the UK bone marrow registers are made up of ethnic minorities. In less than 16 years, the ACLT has increased the number of Black and Mixed Race bone marrow donors from 550 to over 36,000.
We are pleased to be supporting such a worthy cause and wish Danielle and her team the best of luck in their fundraising efforts.
