The recent eye-watering site of swimmers at the world’s first Sky Pool at Embassy Gardens in Battersea is a time of reflection for Brogan Group, as we were involved in the construction of the Legacy buildings that support the pool floating 115ft above the ground.

The buildings, standing 23 storeys high on either side of the suspended pool, are known as the Legacy buildings and Brogan Group worked with the main developer Ballymore on the second phase of this development, supplying construction hoists in both single and twin configurations across multiple buildings across the site. These machines reached a height of 76 metres, enabling access to the site for the construction teams.

The project in total created 1,750 new homes and over 40,000 sq. m of office and flexible workspace spread over eight building plots rising to 23 storeys in height.

While the Sky Pool has proved dizzying for some swimmers Brogan Group have a head for heights providing Access solutions on some of the tallest buildings in London and the UK including the Scalpel and Walkie Talkie (20 Fenchurch Street).
