Tomorrow, 10th October 2026, marks World Mental Health Day. The theme this year is Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change, highlighting the importance of listening to those with lived experience of mental health challenges and using their insights to create positive change.
Sharing experiences and encouraging open conversations can help break down stigma, build understanding and remind people that they are not alone. With 1 in 4 people experiencing a mental health problem each year, listening with empathy and creating a safe space for others to speak, we can help foster a more supportive environment for everyone.
Brogan Group has delivered toolbox talks to site teams across the UK and Ireland, raising awareness of mental health and encouraging colleagues to look out for themselves and one another. As part of this ongoing commitment, trained Mental Health First Aiders are available 24/7 to provide support, guidance and advice to all employees.
Brogan Group has recently renewed its pledge with the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity for an eighth consecutive year. With construction workers being three times more likely to take their own life than those working in other industries, the charity's free and confidential 24/7 support service plays a vital role in supporting construction workers and their families across the UK and Ireland.
