Mental Health Awareness Week in the UK runs from 11th – 17th May 2026 and focuses on encouraging people to take action to support good mental health. While raising awareness is important, this year’s theme highlights that real change happens when we take meaningful action.

Across all sites in the UK and Ireland, toolbox talks have been distributed highlighting the importance of raising awareness, removing the stigma surrounding mental health, and encouraging people to get involved and support one another.

The construction industry continues to face significant mental health challenges, with industry research suggesting that 87% of UK construction workers experience anxiety related to their work. At Brogan Group, the wellbeing of our employees remains a top priority. We have trained Mental Health First Aiders across the UK and Ireland who are available to support both office and site-based staff.

In addition, we are proud members of the Lighthouse Club, which offers a 24-hour confidential helpline providing free emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support to construction workers and their families.
