Mental Health Awareness Week runs from 12th – 18th May 2025, focusing on the theme of 'Community' - a reminder that strong, supportive networks are vital for our well-being.
During Mental Health Awareness Week, Brogan Group will be delivering toolbox talks across all UK and Irish sites to reinforce the importance of positive communities and encourage ways to get involved.
Being part of a safe, positive community is essential for mental health with communities providing a sense of belonging and purpose, safety, and emotional support. People who are more socially connected to family, friends, or their communities are happier, physically healthier, and live longer, with fewer mental health problems.
In the UK, the construction industry faces significant mental health challenges, with 82% of construction workers experiencing mental health issues. At Brogan Group, the well-being of our employees is a top priority. We have trained Mental Health First Aiders across the UK and Ireland, available to support both office and on-site staff.
Additionally, we are proud members of the Lighthouse Club, which offers a 24-hour helpline providing free support for all construction workers and their families.
