Colchester finished the season with a 17-5 record and player Joe Matthews retaining National League Division 3 South "Player of the Year" Honours. Also, Player/Coach - Julian Keeling - received recognition by becoming runner-up for the League's "Coach of the Year" Award.
Colchester Hornets are due to start the 2008 - 2009 League campaign with the first league game on 4th October against fellow promoter London Met University Team. This season will see the Hornets travelling all over Britain from Wrexham down to Plymouth.
