This last Sunday saw the end of season awards for the Brogan Group sponsored Waresley Cricket Club, a BBQ event for the community club where the seniors and colts were awarded for their endeavours this season.
The cricket club is local to Brogan’s main depot in Gamlingay and a Brogan Group representative, Will Allen, Marketing Manager, was on hand to present the awards for the senior team and particularly the sponsored 1st XI Brogan batting award.
The 1st XI batting award went to Joe Barrett, for a sparkling 83 against Ufford Park – the best batting performance by a first-teamer this season, and collected by senior member of the club 85 years young John Gillett, in Joe’s absence.
Andy Donald, the Chairman, compered the event with Colts Coach Dan Robinson presenting the Colts awards for 2021. Rod Kerr took the photos plus a whole backroom of volunteers supported with the food and drink, which helped make this such a pleasant occasion.
