Brogan Group Gain FORS Gold

Brogan Group have joined the UK’s elite high quality logistics and transport operators this month by gaining FORS Gold accreditation.

The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is a three-stage – Bronze to Silver to Gold – European accreditation programme, which helps improve operator’s performance in areas such as safety, fuel efficiency, economical operations and vehicle emissions.

With a rigorous accreditation procedure across four key fleet areas of Management, Vehicles, Drivers and Operations, gaining the Gold standard of accreditation reinforces Brogan Group’s dedication to continuous improvement and delivering a quality service to its customers.

James Lewis, SHEQ Director commented “Brogan Group Ltd was introduced to the FORS Scheme in July 2011 during our involvement in Crossrail’s Paddington Integrated Project.

Owing to the nature of our work activities and operations, road safety is of critical importance to us as we manage and control our own logistics fleet of HGVs, trailers and vans.

We have invested heavily in educating our drivers, both professional HGV and van drivers, to ensure their continued development by using these tools to supplement our in-house training.

Gaining FORS Gold accreditation is a significant milestone in itself, but with the continuing development of the scheme, which has just been updated to Version 4.0, and the ongoing improvements within the logistics and transport sector, this will continue to be a safety critical activity within our operations.

The journey does not stop here.”
