Brogan Group have won the combined scaffolding and hoist access package for a Regent's Canal based development in north London, a scheme that will see the restoration of five Victorian warehouses into offices alongside the construction of a new building, creating 110,000ft2 of office space fit for the 21st century.
The new 6-storey block new-build office, called Thorley Works is designed by Architects HawkinsBrown and will be provisioned with a number of goods/passenger hoists from Brogan Group.
Brogans’ scaffolding remit on the industrial era buildings includes full perimeter access scaffold for façade repairs, window replacement and access to the dormer windows and sloping mansard roofs.
The site will also see Brogan installing internal birdcages and a temporary roof over the Stair cores, as well as cantilevered scaffold over Regent’s Canal, built off a floating pontoon provided by the Main Contractor.
The development, which will have 16,500ft2 of gardens and a central public courtyard, is scheduled for completion by the end of 2022.
