Brogan Group is currently working on the Burlington Plaza project in Dublin, supplying Scanclimber 5000 Mastclimbers on site with further machines due to be erected in due course.

Due to restricted clearances and other works required at ground level, Brogan Group's design team provisioned for two of the machines to be mounted on cantilever support steels from the first floor. This was achieved by making use of pockets left in the shear wall by the client inside the concrete structure.

The support frame was jacked internally between floors to overcome the high uplift loads. The machine base was then sat on the external steels and fixed down with ties to the elevation structure. The fully glazed elevations meant that the mastclimber ties had to be engineered to a minimum. The machines have been erected to the full height of the building.

Brogan Group is carrying out the access requirements on behalf of Stonetech, who are working on behalf of main contractor Bennett Construction.

The development consists of a new twin block corporate headquarters. Block 1 of the development will have six floors and Block 2 five floors. The high percentage of glazing will maximize views over Dublin 4 to the Dublin Mountains.

The buildings will provide 22,328 m² of prestige office space in two blocks of six and seven stories in one of the most sought after areas of Dublin.

The project is due for completion towards the end on 2008.
