World Food Day, which is celebrated on 16 October promotes worldwide awareness and action for those who suffer from hunger.

The 2019 theme was ‘Our Actions Are Our Future, Healthy Diets for A #ZeroHunger World.’ It held a focus on tackling global hunger as around 820 million people suffer from hunger.

Brogan Group teamed up with St Mary’s Church in Hertingfordbury to collect food for Hertford food bank, which is a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by the Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.

We are always trying to give back to the local community which is why this World Food Day found us tackling the crisis locally by donating to the food bank who continue to help many people.

Reverend Wendy Sellers from St Mary’s Church said, “it is important for the help from local companies such as Brogan Group to encourage their staff to donate whatever they can to continue to feed local people in need”.
