Brogan Group has been awarded the scaffolding package for the Misk Ilmi Science Discovery and Innovation Centre in Riyadh, a major new learning hub focused on STREAM subjects — science, technology, reading, engineering, arts and mathematics.

The approximately 27,000m² development is centred around a distinctive geodesic globe structure, positioned above a landscaped plinth. The design is inspired by the renewable energy of the sun in a desert environment, as well as the local lilac-flowering Echinops plant, also known as globe thistle.

Under the scope of works, Brogan Group will deliver the design, supply, erection, modification and dismantling of scaffolding systems across multiple levels of the structure, supporting a wide range of construction activities throughout the build.

A combined access approach will be implemented, incorporating Cuplock system and tube & fitting scaffolding (to include cantilever and hanging configurations), alongside support towers, puncheon scaffolding and independent scaffolding systems. These will be deployed across Levels 1 to 5, with configurations developed to suit the varying structural and construction requirements at each stage.

The project forms part of a wider programme supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, contributing to the development of landmark educational facilities designed to inspire future generations.
