Brogan Group have secured the access works on Blossom Street, the new mixed-use development in Shoreditch, London. The aim is to refurbish, extend and create new buildings that will provide new offices and retail space. The site will be divided up into 28,000m2 of commercial space, 4,000m2 of residential space (40 apartments), 3,100m2 of retail space and 1,400m2 of the public realm.

The property investors for Blossom Street, British Land commented on the project: ‘Our vision for Blossom Street is to refurbish, extend and create new buildings, providing new offices and retail space. We are creating sensitively designed buildings, bringing many vacant or underused buildings in the area back into useful economic use.’

The Brogan Group remit includes a large amount of scaffold across 5 blocks and the supply of 8 hoists. The hoists we are providing include both goods only and goods/passenger machines in single and twin configuration. The extensive scaffold supply will include the erection of large birdcages for the removal of internal floors, as well as protection gantries over public footpaths, a system retractable temporary roof, screw jacked edge protection, hoist run-off towers and a 5-tonne lifting gantry.

The project is due for completion in 2023.
