Brogan Group are proud to announce that we are a SOLAS Approved Employer for the first ever state-recognised Scaffolding Apprenticeship scheme in Ireland. The new 2 year QQI validated Apprenticeship was initiated to develop a national Apprenticeship for Scaffolders to address Health & Safety concerns and to provide more robust training in specific knowledge, skills and competence and will build on the current Basic and Advanced courses.

It was developed by an Industry led Consortium; the National Association of Scaffolding and Access Contractors (NASAC), with the Construction Industry Federation (CIF) as lead and has sought input from the whole Scaffolding sector throughout the process.

Current Brogan Group Employee, Chris Wilson has signed up to the scheme along with our Foreman Martin Hickey, joining in a Mentor capacity to provide guidance for our new Apprentices.

Programme Co-Ordinator John Kelly said that our Apprentice "will make history" this month as he begins the journey to become one of Ireland’s first ever qualified Apprentices in 2023 (Total class of 36). Chris has since returned from his first phase of training at the centre in Mount Lucas, County Offaly and is progressing his on-the-job learning back on-site.
