The welcome return to commercial construction in Ireland this month will see Brogan Group commence works at New Century House. The 1.5 million sq. ft. mixed-use development in Ireland’s International Financial Service Centre is undergoing renovations and Brogan Group have been successful in winning the mast climber package for the façade refurbishment works.

The project sees us working with another new client in the Irish market, supplying a complex scheme of medium and heavy-duty mast climbers. Brogan Group will install 3m round corner cantilevers to two positions and will be fitting mechanical sliding decks to all positions. The unusually long corner cantilevers will provide a more efficient access solution for the cladders to work off while the mechanical sliding decks will further add to labour efficiency levels on-site hence, enabling a significant time and cost saving for the client.

The challenges posed in the planning phase of this project were quickly overcome with the help of our Dublin-based, in-house design team. One such challenge included the cable support ties of the nearby Luas line which are attached to the building. Brogan Group addressed this by carefully setting out the machines and platforms to avoid each cable support tie. Heavy duty machines will be used to reduce the number of ties to aid with cladding installation and counterweights will be used to balance the extra-long corner cantilevered machines. Brogan Group look forward to delivering on this project for our new client.
