Crossrail C272 Paddington Project Progresses

Pictured above and below are some of the latest images of our works at Paddington Crossrail.

Situated close to the London underground and network rail properties the site has proposed several design and logistical challenges.

Our most recent remit included providing access out of hours for the demolition and rebuild of a new steel lift shaft.  Access has also been provided for a new steel taxi ramp at the end of Bishops Bridge Road following the removal of a crash protection parapet.  Cantilevered heavy duty beams were erected to enable the parapet and existing slab to be demolished.

In addition to this heavy duty cantilevered and bridged scaffold support towers have been erected at various positions for new steel work structures at pavement level and a 40m long hoarding was erected at platform 12 which was specially designed for crowd loading.
